Each year, Afri Study Aid hosts a special Gala Night where study aid is officially handed over to the selected students. These evenings are more than just events. They are moments of celebration, dignity, and hope. The Gala Nights bring together donors, partners, families, and students to celebrate hard work, opportunity, and the power of community. It is during these evenings that dreams are acknowledged and futures are set in motion.
The 2024 Gala Night marked a powerful milestone for Afri Study Aid. During this event, study aid was handed over to 12 young men who were supported for their studies in the 2025 academic year. The evening was filled with gratitude, inspiration, and pride as each student was personally acknowledged. This event highlighted the real impact of donor support and the importance of skilled trade education in South Africa.
In 2025, Afri Study Aid hosted another unforgettable Gala Night, celebrating growth and inclusivity. Study aid was awarded to 10 students in total, six young men and four young women, all committed to building their future through trade training. This Gala Night reflected progress, hope, and the expanding reach of Afri Study Aid. It showcased what is possible when a community comes together to invest in skills and potential.
